Written by Joe Marcy, President of the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair Association
We are a community rich with tradition. We’ve made wonderful memories through the years – whether it be at the holiday fireworks, the concerts in the park, or the annual Hometown Fair. These traditions make our beautiful beach town feel a little more like home.
Last October, I was installed as the 25th President of the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair Association. It was a historic milestone for the organization. I accepted the responsibility with great pride and gratitude. With an incredible team in place, our opportunities were limitless. However, in an unexpected plot twist, our opportunities became extremely limited due to Covid-19. What did I sign-up for?
Well, I signed up for one of the greatest adventures of my life. These moments test our strength and resilience. It typically takes eight months to plan and executing our fair - the pandemic didn’t stop our momentum. We continued our meetings virtually, developed a new strategy, and focused on results for our community. I could not be more proud to work with this team.
For 48 years, we’ve always provided a safe and fun environment for ALL to enjoy while serving as a platform for non-profits to raise funds. We’re grateful to continue that mission virtually. Together.
On behalf of the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair Association’s Board of Directors, let’s celebrate our 48th Annual Hometown Fair!

Arts & Crafts Directory
We typically welcome over 200+ Arts and Crafts vendors to the Hometown Fair. Exhibiting at shows like ours are important for their livelihood. We put together a fabulous user-friendly directory where you can engage with them on social media and visit their online stores. Please support these artists however you can. Whether you “like” their page or shop their stores – every effort makes a difference. The directory is available here: www.mbfair.org/arts-and-crafts-vendors
