In an effort to help our members get to know who is working for them at the Manhattan Beach Chamber we will take some time each month and introduce one of the team members. Many of you know Lori as our Business Development Director, but do any of you know why she chose the Manhattan Beach Chamber or where she came from? Take a moment and learn more about Lori and her passions.
Lori Tostado came to the Manhattan Beach Chamber in February of 2013. She was previously with Merlin Entertainments, an international theme park and attraction company which owns brands such as Madame Tussauds, Legoland, SeaLife Aquariums and the London Eye. Her background is rooted in sales and brand development/marketing with an emphasis on the travel trade industry. Along with being super passionate about working the Chamber’s member and sponsor base directly, Lori has a ton of interest in helping businesses connect with one another for cross marketing campaigns and developing new sales strategies.
You may have gotten to know Lori through meetings and networking events at the Chamber but you may not know much about her beyond her role at the Chamber. Lori graduated with a degree in English from Arizona State University in 3 years – Go Sundevils! She is one of those “rare” LA natives who genuinely loves her city and exploring it regularly especially the LA restaurant scene. As a foodie who eats pretty much anything she is always trying new restaurants around town and recipes at home since she loves to cook. She loves traveling (she recently got back from a trip to London), working out (pilates), and documentaries (her Netflix account currently has 150 movies in the queue) . Sundays in the fall are spent anywhere there are multiple T.Vs so she can catch any and every NFL game and of course Kings games must be watched at Staples Center or the Northend. If you’ve been to the Chamber over the last two years, you have probably already met her sidekick Iggy, her adopted Australian Cattle Dog. She and Iggy enjoy daily walks on the greenbelt or the strand and weekend mornings at dog beach in Huntington or Runyon Canyon in Hollywood.
If you’d like to set up a meeting or a time to learn more about your Chamber membership or sponsorship opportunities, don’t hesitate to reach out to Lori, firstname.lastname@example.org.
