The second annual Bite at the Beach took place this past Saturday May 16th at the MBS Media Campus. Once again the local restaurant community and craft breweries brought out their best pairings for all to enjoy. The more than 800 guests were treated to a liver performance by our very own local band The Lucky Ones. In between sets the attendees also danced the day away with the amazing stylings of Vox DJs. For those who have never attended this year there were 23 restaurants partnered with 23 local breweries to deliver a delectable pairing of food and beer samples. In addition to entertainment, food, and libation there was an opportunity to have your picture taken with the LA Galaxy’s MLS Cup.
The goal of Bite at the Beach has always been to grow awareness and reach for the local restaurant and craft brewing industries, as well as Manhattan Beach. This year’s pre-event reach has been more than 200 million impressions into the Los Angeles and Orange County markets. Being able to generate this much publicity for our local businesses would not have been possible without the support of all of our partners. Please take a moment to visit: www.BiteattheBeach.com to learn more about who was there. As locals we are all so fortunate to have been to many of these establishments. For many of the attendees it was their first time sampling these great venues. At the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce we are committed to delivering each of our members increased visibility and business development opportunities.
While everyone was there to enjoy themselves and become more familiar with the offerings here in the South Bay of Los Angeles, we were also able to give back to surrounding communities. A portion of the proceeds of the event will be donated to the LA Galaxy Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to helping children through educational, health and soccer based initiatives and programs. The foundation has been able to do everything from hold camps for local children to building new fields for them to play on. The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce is proud to have been able to help further this cause.
